Keep these in mind
The essentials, at a glance.
Start with the customer journey
Make content and controls work together
Test the real page on a phone
This checklist is for service businesses preparing a website launch or reviewing a contact page after a change. It covers the enquiry route rather than checkout payments or automated sales qualification.
Define what a successful test proves
Write down where a submission should arrive and who owns the inbox or customer-management queue. A confirmation on the website proves that the visitor saw a message; it does not, by itself, prove that a member of staff received the enquiry.
Use a clearly labelled test request with an agreed colleague. Avoid entering genuine customer information into a test environment. Record the test time, page and intended destination so the team can find the matching entry without circulating private messages.
Start with the form on a phone
Open the actual campaign destination on a phone, not only the website editor. Check that labels remain visible when typing, fields fit the screen and the keyboard suits the requested information. Confirm that a sticky menu, language selector or floating contact button does not cover the submit control or error message.
For a Dubai business serving several markets, test the phone-number formats your customers actually use. If the form offers Arabic and English, review each version independently, including text direction and the confirmation message. Do not assume a translated label establishes that the whole journey works in that language.
Check helpful errors and clear confirmation
Submit the form once with a missing required field, then with an invalid email format. The message should identify the problem and explain how to correct it. Valid information should remain available so the visitor does not have to start again. Test keyboard navigation as well as touch.
After a valid submission, the page should clearly explain what happened and what the visitor can do next. Only state a response timeframe your team can support. W3C’s form notification guidance explains why both errors and successful completion need clear feedback. A full accessibility review involves more than these few checks.

Follow the request into the working inbox
Locate the test submission in the destination the team actually uses. Check the sender information, message formatting, reply route and any attachment requirements. If email delivery is part of the process, inspect the expected inbox and spam folder. Where the system also stores submissions, compare the stored entry with the notification.
Agree how failures will be noticed. Someone should own missing-notification checks and know how to retrieve an enquiry through an authorised backup route, where available. A different email address or plugin may be appropriate after diagnosis; changing tools without testing the whole route simply moves the uncertainty.
Keep contact actions separate from received enquiries
A click on a contact link, a form submission and a qualified sales enquiry describe different stages. Name them separately in reporting. Google’s recommended Analytics events distinguishes submitting information from later qualification and customer outcomes. The event name alone does not verify that your implementation measures the intended stage.
Ask the person configuring measurement to demonstrate a successful test, a failed submission and a repeat visit to the confirmation page. Check that these do not create misleading totals. Keep names, email addresses, phone numbers and message contents out of analytics event parameters and page URLs. Review consent and privacy requirements for the actual tools and data involved before launch.
Make the handover usable
Keep a short record of the page tested, device, result, destination, owner and follow-up action. Repeat the relevant checks after changes to the form, delivery service, spam controls, theme or integrations. Choose a review schedule based on how important the enquiry route is to the business.
If a test fails, preserve the evidence and diagnose the failing stage before increasing campaign traffic. Website visits are useful only when customers can complete the next step and your team can respond.
