Music for Business Videos: What Dubai Brands Should Check Before Publishing

A track can suit the mood of your video and still be unsuitable for the way your business plans to use it. Before a Dubai brand approves a soundtrack, connect the creative choice to the publishing plan: who will use the video, where it will appear and whether it will run as advertising.

The essentials, at a glance.

Give the story a clear purpose

Plan people, sound and coverage

Agree formats and review stages

News checked 5 November 2026. This article draws a practical production lesson from a new Adobe announcement. It does not claim that the feature is already available in the UAE.

What the new Adobe announcement actually says

On 3 November 2026, Adobe announced plans to bring music from Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group into Premiere mobile. Its post describes the music features as coming soon and says these tracks are for personal, non-commercial use. It points commercial projects towards Adobe Stock Audio. Read Adobe’s original announcement.

That is an announcement date, not a confirmed launch date. The announcement does not establish a UAE release date or confirm the catalogue available to a UAE account. Check the current app, region and applicable terms before planning an edit around a particular track.

For a Dubai business, the useful question is whether the proposed music is permitted for the intended brand project. A familiar song appearing in an editor does not settle that question.

Write the distribution plan before choosing a track

Give your editor a short destination list before the first cut: the brand’s social account, a paid campaign, a website, a presentation or a screen at an exhibition. Include the business or client receiving the finished work, the countries where it will run and whether the campaign may be reused later.

Separate an organic post from a version that may be boosted. If the marketing team has not decided, flag paid use as a requirement to resolve before selecting music. This is part of the production brief, alongside aspect ratio, duration and captions.

Our corporate video briefing guide covers the wider message and delivery decisions. Keep the music-use record attached to that brief.

Ask for permission that matches the actual use

Ask the person supplying the track to identify the source, the relevant licence and the permitted uses. Check the actual terms rather than relying on a filename such as “royalty free” or a verbal promise. Where the terms do not clearly cover your campaign, obtain clarification from the provider or an appropriate rights adviser before publication.

Adobe’s Stock guidance, for example, distinguishes standard and extended audio licences and lists different requirements for different uses. It also explains that a YouTube claim can still arise and describes providing the track’s licence validation code. Adobe Stock’s audio licensing guidance is a useful example of why the specific terms and records matter.

This is a production checklist, not a determination that any particular track is cleared for your UAE campaign. The authorised person responsible for the project should confirm the intended use against the applicable licence.

Keep the edit flexible until the music is approved

Use an identified temporary track while the team considers options, and label review exports clearly. Avoid building every cut around a song that has not been approved for the final use. Ask the editor to retain separate dialogue, effects and music tracks so an agreed replacement does not require rebuilding the entire soundtrack.

For a hypothetical product launch, an organic social edit and a paid advertisement may need different audio decisions. Plan both versions in the delivery list. Do not assume a previous export can simply be reused when the channel, client or purpose changes.

Brief the sound as well as the mood: should the music leave space for an interview, support a product demonstration or carry a visual sequence without speech? That helps the creative team find a suitable alternative when a preferred track does not fit the usage.

Make one person responsible for the release record

Before the final upload, assemble a small handover folder containing:

  • The approved track title, source and identifier.
  • The licence record or permission evidence, including the relevant account or purchaser.
  • The agreed client, channels and campaign uses.
  • The finished export filenames and the date they were approved.
  • The person to contact if a platform raises a rights question.

Keep account credentials and private client details out of public documents. Give the people managing the brand account access to the records they need through an appropriate private handover.

Add this check to the social content approval workflow. A visual sign-off should not be the only condition for releasing a video.

Brief the video and its soundtrack together

Bring your planned channels, example references and intended use to an ABAB conversation. We can discuss the filming, edit, soundtrack and deliverables as one video production project. If the work will feed a wider campaign, include the team responsible for digital marketing so the brief reflects how the content will actually run.

Book a video project conversation or send your brief. Share the business goal and publishing plan first; the creative direction can develop from there.
